This website

When you visit gorkhalogic.com, we may process:

  • Contact and career forms — name, email, phone, and the message you submit, so we can reply.
  • Newsletter sign-ups — the email address you provide.
  • Usage analytics — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). These tools may set cookies.

We do not sell personal information. Form submissions are used only to respond to you and operate the business.

Overview

NepScans is an offline-first document scanner published by Gorkha Logic Technology And Innovation Pvt. Ltd. You can scan, crop, enhance, run on-device OCR (English and Nepali), and save PDFs without creating an account.

Scans, PDFs, and extracted text stay on your device. We do not operate a NepScans cloud account, and we do not upload your documents unless you choose to share a file yourself.

NepScans is not affiliated with the Government of Nepal and does not certify, notarize, or legally sign official documents. Drawing a signature in the app is a visual mark on a scan, not a legally binding electronic signature.

Data we process

NepScans processes the following information on your device only:

  • Photos and scans you capture with the camera or import from your gallery or files.
  • Documents you create, including cropped pages, enhanced images, PDFs, and optional OCR text.
  • App settings such as language and camera preferences, stored locally on the device.

NepScans does not collect your name, email, phone number, payment details, location, or advertising identifiers. The app does not include ads, analytics, crash-reporting, or social-login SDKs.

Permissions

  • Camera is used only to capture documents when you tap the shutter.
  • Photos / storage is used only when you import existing images into a scan.

You can deny these permissions. Scanning from the camera or importing photos will not work until you allow the relevant permission.

Sharing and uploads

NepScans does not send scans to Gorkha Logic servers. If you use Android's share sheet (for example to send a PDF, image, or Word file), that file goes only to the app or person you choose. We do not receive a copy.

Optical character recognition runs on the device. Nepali OCR is a beta capability and may be inaccurate.

Storage and retention

Documents remain on your device until you delete them from the app or uninstall NepScans. Uninstalling removes locally stored scans and settings. We cannot recover files from a device we do not control.

Children

NepScans is a general-purpose scanner and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
